University of Oklahoma question?

I live in Maryland and there is NO college here that has a program in meteorology and I am considering Oklahoma as a choice. Is it a generally hard school to get into? I heard that the meteorology department is extremely selective, is that true? What can I do to ensure I can get in. (I'm going into junior year this fall)
