Ok you can substitute agar-agar for the gelatin ...BUT glycerine is usually an animal by-product as well. Marshmallows ARE made with gelatine. Marshmallow CREAM is made with sugar, corn syrup and egg whites. If you are only doing decorations and not trying to cover the whole cake with it, you might try kneading powdered sugar into marshmallow Fluff until you get a good texture. Kneading in some crisco will help prevent drying and cracking. Good Luck!
