Is the University of Oklahoma tough to get into?

I live in Maryland and I want to go to OU because MD has no meteorology program and I want to major in meteorology their. I hear that the university itself is easy to get into but the meteorology program is very selective. Is that true? What can I do to ensure a spot in the meteorology program?
