Is it normal for a 2.5-month old baby ?

I have been having a similar issue with my 5 month old. She is exclusively breastfed, as well. My pediatrician, who is also a breastfeeding mom, recommended 6 ml of prune juice every day until she goes, them 3 ml per day for a few days after to get her back on track. Do not use a bottle, use a medicine dropper or syringe with ml markings. There is prob one in your baby care kit that has nail clippers, etc. You can break it up and give 2 ml 3 times a day if you like. Do not give a baby that young glycerin suppositories. Your advice was likely from a nurse that is giving you guidelines for as bottle fed baby. 2 oz of juice is way to much for a breastfed baby to handle, and prune juice is high in fiber, pear juice is not. 6 ml is just over a teaspoon. Be sure to buy the prune juice with no added sugar. My daughter loves it, no problems getting it down using the syringe.
