Glycerin saddle soap? opinions?

my trainer swares by it and her 5,000 french made Beval butets and 8,000 custom antares look great and smell great. her bridles are also faboulous. everyone at my barn uses it. my questions is, can you use the natural vegetable glycerin from a healther foods store? cuz i bought some. it says completly natural and the ingredients look great. thanks please dont recomned lexol or something
